While Wang met External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar and prepared for talks with National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Tibetan activists staged protests in Delhi. Demonstrators held banners reading “Wang Yi Free Tibet” along his convoy route, while members of the Tibetan Youth Congress stormed the Chinese Embassy. The protests drew global attention to Tibetans’ struggle for freedom after more than seven decades of China’s illegal occupation, highlighting the contrasting significance of Wang’s visit for India and Tibetans.
