Dharamshala: This morning, His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama sent a letter to His Holiness Pope Leo XIV, offering his warmest congratulations on the latter’s election as leader of the Roman Catholic Church.

In the letter, His Holiness the Dalai Lama expressed his pleasure at having met several of Pope Leo XIV’s predecessors and recalled the friendly conversations he shared with them.
