Richard Gere shared an EMOTIONAL memory about showing Martin Scorsese's film "Kundun" to His Holiness the #DalaiLama in New York. After the screening, His Holiness seemed quiet. Later, over tea, he revealed what moved him: The moment he crossed into Arunachal Pradesh in 1959, his Tibetan guards turned back. He knew he'd never see them again. "I turned back from Tibet into India... and I didn't have a friend there." Then His Holiness looked around the room and said: "Now I have friends EVERYWHERE." 🙏
