Dharamshala: In a condolence letter dated 24 November 2025, Sikyong Penpa Tsering expressed his heartfelt condolences to Senator Jean François Humbert, a friend and long-time supporter of Tibet.
In his letter, Sikyong wrote, “He was a man of integrity, measured in words, principled in action, and steadfast in his commitment to the Tibetan cause. His support for Tibet spanned decades. Whether through his work in the French Senate or his leadership within the International Information Group on Tibet, Senator Humbert ensured that Tibet’s voice was heard on the international stage.
