The Great Amdo Uprising - A Lecture by Jamyang Norbu
This presentation examines the heroic uprisings in Amdo-from 1949 to the present day-chronicling decades of resistance against Chinese Communist occupation and oppression by the tribesmen of Golok, Nangra, Harukha and others. Based on extensive research presented in his book Echoes From Forgotten Mountains, Norbu provides a comprehensive account of this largely overlooked period of defiance and extermination, and it's tragic significance in Tibetan history.
