Uttar Pradesh: ITBP’s HWWA Wing Hosts Seminar On Menstrual Hygiene For Women In Uniformed Services

In a landmark initiative to promote menstrual and reproductive health among women in uniformed services, the Himveer Wives’ Welfare Association (HWWA) of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), in collaboration with SHEWings Foundation, organised a comprehensive awareness seminar at the 22nd Battalion, ITBP, Tigri Camp, New Delhi, on the occasion of Menstrual Hygiene Day.

Titled "Menstrual and Reproductive Health for Women in Forward Deployment," the seminar aimed to equip ITBP’s women personnel with vital knowledge, medical guidance, and hygienic practices to manage menstruation and related health challenges, particularly in remote and high-risk deployment areas.

The event was graced by Dr. Vijaya K. Rahatkar, Chairperson of the National Commission for Women, who lauded the initiative and called for open, respectful conversations around menstruation.
