Sikyong Penpa Tsering of the Central Tibetan Administration said the recent visit to Tibet by the Chinese Communist leader Xi Jinping is an act to deceive international community. On 20th August 2025, Xi Jinping, accompanied by Wang Huning and Cai Qi, high ranking politicians visited Lhasa, the capital city of Tibet on the so-called “60th Anniversary of Tibet Autonomous Region.” Sikyong repudiates China’s claim of peace and prosperity in Tibet, highlights that the entire event was just an act to deceive the international community into believing that Tibetans are happy in Tibet under their rule.
